Imagine starting each day knowing your work helps someone find a safe place to call home. As a leader in Housing and Homelessness Services, you'll play a key role in delivering housing solutions that truly change lives. You'll manage teams providing housing intake, tenancy management, and property services directly to customers—whether it's over the counter, by phone, in the field, or through outreach in the community. Every interaction your team has makes a difference, and you'll be at the heart of it all.
In this role, you'll balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving. You'll oversee resource planning, manage budgets, and ensure your team delivers efficient, high-quality services. You'll also work closely with community stakeholders and housing providers to improve services and ensure properties are allocated to those who need them most. Whether it's managing maintenance programs, reviewing appeals, or preparing high-level correspondence, your work will directly support the department's mission to create a fair and sustainable housing system. Are you someone who thrives in a dynamic environment? Can you juggle competing priorities while keeping your team motivated and focused? Do you enjoy building
relationships and working collaboratively to solve complex challenges? If so, this role is for you.
We're looking for someone who leads with empathy and purpose, actively working to understand the needs of customers and stakeholders. You'll model open communication, encourage a strong customer focus, and foster a supportive, cohesive team environment. Your ability to adapt to change, manage conflicting demands, and identify development opportunities for your team will be key to your success.
In addition to your leadership skills, you'll bring sound business management expertise, including financial, contract, and project management. A Class C driver's licence is required for this role.
