As a permanent Construction Worker (Supervisor), you'll lead crews delivering essential road maintenance and civil infrastructure projects that keep communities connected, safe and moving.

This is an opportunity to combine your technical expertise with hands-on leadership, supervising projects from planning through to completion while ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved. You'll work closely with project teams, customers and stakeholders, helping deliver critical infrastructure outcomes across the Gold Coast region.

In the role of Construction Worker Band C you will supervise the delivery of civil infrastructure projects throughout all phases of the project cycle to ensure construction and maintenance services meet client and business objectives. You will assist in the effective supervision and utilisation of resources to achieve project outcomes and provide leadership in the implementation of change initiatives at the project level. You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with customers,stakeholders and the project team.

Accountabilities include:
• Provide leadership and direction to assist in the achievement of project goals and implement staff performance systems to monitor, manage and report staff performance on site.
• Implement change initiatives, consistent with RoadTek Strategic Direction, at a project level.
• Manage daily projects records so as to monitor financial performance at the project level.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure labour, plant and equipment availability meets project delivery demands and allows continuity of the project work schedule.
• Provide advice on production rates to members of the estimation team to enable them to prepare tenders in a competitive market.
• Support employees undertaking Construction Worker Progression Program by providing opportunities for skilling and training consistent with training plans.

Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions:
• Licensing & Medical Requirements: Hold a current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or equivalent) and successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
• TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• Qualifications: Possess a Certificate III in Civil Construction relevant to transport infrastructure projects and core Leadership and Management competencies, or demonstrate the ability to obtain these within 36 months.
• Travel & Mobility: Be willing to travel and work across various locations and RoadTek business units as required, with applicable travel allowances and flexible working arrangements.
• Training & Competencies: Participate in the Civil Trades Development Program (CTDP) and maintain competencies that support operational requirements, workforce mobility and legislative compliance.
• Professional Expectations: Demonstrate the literacy, numeracy and adaptability required to undertake formal training, maintain mandatory certifications and support RoadTek's commercial and operational needs.

Requirements of the role:
• Leadership & Organisational Focus: Lead and prioritise team activities to deliver project outcomes that align with RoadTek's strategic objectives and community expectations.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management: Build effective relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, collaboration and sound decision- making, while identifying and managing project risks.
• Technical & Project Management Expertise: Apply project management principles and road construction and maintenance knowledge to safely deliver quality infrastructure projects and maintenance works.
