The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Property and Facilities to lead its Property and Facilities team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing strategic planning, project delivery, and operational management of key property and facilities initiatives.

As the Manager, you will lead a team of five professionals to deliver and maintain fitfor- purpose office accommodation and Customer Service Centres. You will provide expert advice on property and facilities management, including accommodation planning, leasing activities, and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with property regulations and workplace health and safety standards. By fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and alignment with departmental priorities, you will ensure the effective delivery of high-quality services that support the
department's operations and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on property and facilities management, including accommodation planning, leasing, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Develop and implement strategies, plans, and projects, including accommodation optimisation, property leasing, capital works, maintenance programs, and minor works.

Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, asset lifecycle management, and contractor performance to ensure safe, functional, and compliant facilities. Conduct audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the department in negotiations and consultations to achieve objectives. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, ethical decision-making, and professional growth.

Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimisation. Identify risks, opportunities, and innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and service delivery.

Support the Director in aligning property and facilities business plans with departmental priorities and strategic goals.

About You: To excel in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in property and facilities management, including leading teams, managing budgets, and delivering strategic initiatives. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a proven ability to manage compliance with property regulations and workplace health and safety standards.
