As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex road and transport infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Working closely with customers, stakeholders and operational teams, you will:

  • Manage multiple civil infrastructure projects, including construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, preconstruction and associated business activities.
  • Lead project planning, programming and resource coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
  • Oversee tendering, estimating and bid management activities, providing expert advice on construction methodologies and project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, performance, progress claims and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead and develop project teams through effective supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, procurement, traffic management and operational requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence (or equivalent).
  • The ability to travel throughout Queensland for project-related activities as required.
  • Demonstrated capability to apply project management methodologies, tools and principles to deliver project outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and customer groups.
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in construction, maintenance or infrastructure project delivery.
  • The ability to successfully complete a criminal history check prior to appointment.
  • TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.

While not mandatory, the following will be highly regarded:

  • Diploma in Project Management.
  • Accredited Frontline Management qualification.
  • Supervisory or management experience within the civil construction industry.
  • Experience delivering road construction and/or maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge of Queensland transport infrastructure delivery environments
