Senior Business Engagement Officer

As a Senior Business Engagement Officer, you will build and maintain relationships with clients and provide advice, information and support to facilitate requirements gathering for information communication technology (ICT) solutions to meet new or existing business needs. Assist ICT leaders as they manage relationships with senior business managers and liaise with ICT teams to advocate for delivery of services that are responsive to business needs.

- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the department's high level business strategy, policy and processes and apply this in interpreting departmental initiatives and providing advice on ICT solution options.
- Provide advice, information and support to clients on the application of the department's ICT strategy, processes and governance to support implementation of, and changes to, their business strategic and operational plans.
- Support the Product Owner/s by coordinating engagement activities with senior ICT leaders and client-facing representatives to schedule, report and facilitate meetings that support productive relationships with senior business managers, including use of appropriate feedback and issue resolution processes.
- Engage with clients and assist them to develop system requirements and acceptance criteria and other documentation that clearly communicates their business ICT requirements and consult with relevant ICT teams as necessary to support submission to, and discussion at relevant ICT governance committees.
- Work with ICT teams to advocate for the delivery of services that are responsive to business needs and improve our information systems, information management practices and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients, including conducting activities such as workshops, focus groups and consultations to support the analysis of client requirements.
Your mandatory requirements:
- Understanding of the Queensland Child Safety Continuum, particularly as it relates to business processes and current information management practices.
- Knowledge of or an ability to acquire a knowledge of Agile and Prince 2 project methodologies
