Senior Valuer

As a Senior Valuer, you will play an important role in delivering land valuation services across Central Queensland. We are looking for an experienced Valuer to deliver land valuations, lead a small team, resolve complex valuation matters and provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
Our Land division are the stewards for 60% of the land in Queensland and we deliver a variety of land and property services across Queensland, including land and asset valuations; state land administration and on ground management surveying services; native title claims and compensation; Indigenous land services; vegetation management; place names; and government land acquisitions. Working within the State Valuation Service, our Senior Valuers deliver expert land valuation services that support the Valuer-General's responsibilities across Queensland. This role combines technical valuation expertise with leadership, helping ensure high-quality valuation outcomes.
In this role you will lead a small team, undertake complex valuation work, resolve statutory valuation grievances and provide expert advice on land valuation matters. You will also manage stakeholder and client relationships, contribute to new valuation initiatives and represent the department in complex valuation matters, including Land Court proceedings where required.
We are looking for a professional valuer with strong communication and analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and consistency of service delivery.
This role requires a degree qualification in land valuation services or an agreed equivalent, as well as registration as a Valuer with the Valuer's Registration Board of Queensland. A current C class driver's licence is also essential as travel may be required.
