As the Senior Lawyer, you will:

  • Provide quality and timely legal advice and services, with minimal supervision, on a wide range of legal areas including general contract and commercial, government, property, litigation, statutory interpretation and administrative law. Experience in commercial and/or property law will be highly regarded.
  • Exercise initiative and respond quickly and effectively to non-routine, urgent matters requiring legal advice.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate internal and external networks.
  • Liaise with Crown Law and other external legal services providers to ensure a consistent, coordinated and cost effective approach to the provision of legal services.
  • Participate in the implementation of staff development and training programs and improved systems, methods and procedures to facilitate efficiency in the operation of Legal Services.
  • Other duties as directed and required.
  • Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
