The Manager Business Support is responsible for coordinating and managing the business systems and administrative functions for the Queensland Ambulance Service Education Centre (QASEC). The role provides efficient, effective and client-focused business services to support the delivery of QAS education and training products and services.
This will be achieved through incorporating best practice and embracing a strong commitment to continual quality improvement, business improvement, governance and client service. This role also provides a high level of support to the Director, Education and senior management team.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Proven success in the development and implementation of practical and effective systems and governance arrangements for a broad range of corporate support functions, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the legislation, policies and procedures underpinning the management of such functions in a public sector environment.
• Demonstrated capability and experience in providing high quality administrative and business support services through strong organisational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage a team of staff, meet deadlines and achieve objectives in an environment of competing priorities and limited resources.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience in the coordination and preparation of accurate, high quality correspondence, submissions and complex reports that adhere to departmental style guide requirements and organisational policies.
• Demonstrated experience in public sector financial and human resource management, including the ability to develop budget submissions and monitor, evaluate and report on budgetary matters in accordance with relevant legislation and whole of government/departmental policies and procedures; and a sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management principles and practices.
• Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with the proven ability to conduct research and interpret financial/performance data to identify, develop and implement solutions and business improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Well developed relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with influence across a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
Mandatory/Special conditions/Other requirements
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• Whilst not mandatory, a qualification in a business related discipline will be highly regarded.
• The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
