Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships and providing trusted financial advice that drives business outcomes? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Financial Management and Performance team within the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development. In this role, you will work closely with leaders across a diverse portfolio, providing high-level financial management advice, analysis and support that informs strategic and operational decision-making.

As a key member of the team, you will prepare and analyse financial reports, reconciliations, budget submissions, briefing materials and other complex financial documentation. You will provide expert advice on financial performance, budgeting, governance and compliance, helping stakeholders understand financial outcomes and make informed decisions. Your ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly will be critical in supporting quality service delivery and achieving business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting and analysis, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be a proactive problem solver who can analyse data, identify trends and provide meaningful insights to support decision-makers. Experience using financial management systems and spreadsheet applications to support reporting and process improvement will be highly regarded. A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance is desirable, while experience using SAP and strong Excel skills will be advantageous.
