environment and the provision and maintenance of boating infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:
• Provision of environmental advice relating to marine infrastructure, dredging and waterways management projects, including site inspections and assessments.
• Preparing, undertaking, and lodging environmental assessments, management plans, reports, notifications, audits and technical notes.
• Acquisition and management of project environmental permits and development approvals.
• Liaise and maintain relationships with internal Regions/Districts, TMR teams and external Authorities on a range of environmental issues.
• Manage, procure, and review external consultant's designs, management plans, reports, or other environmental deliverables.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Current ‘C' class driver's license.
• Possession of a degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or Natural Resource Management.
Desirable Requirements:
• Experience in obtaining environmental approvals for marine infrastructure projects would be highly desirable.
Requirements of the role:
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, as well as communication skills, both orally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders on complex matters.
• Proven expertise in environmental management, including undertaking environmental assessments, writing, compiling, and lodging management plans, permits and approvals.
• Experience in conducting environmental audits on construction projects, preparing audit reports, and communicating with project managers and contractors to mitigate any environmental risks.
• Experience in project close-out activities, such as preparing close-out reports as per the statutory approvals and communicating to the regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
• Providing advice to other teams on matters of environmental risk and significance.
