An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology (E&T) branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Senior Project Officer. In the role of Senior Project Officer, you will provide high level support to E&T business units on a range of financial, corporate and business improvement initiatives. This role undertakes complex contract payments for over 1111 QTRIP projects and 660+ active contracts and provides essential assurance over program and project budgets, contract performance, and payment accuracy, supporting timely delivery and value for money outcomes.

This role undertakes complex contract payments for over 1111 Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) projects and 660+ active contracts and provides essential assurance over program and project budgets, contract performance, and payment accuracy, supporting timely delivery and value for money outcomes. Mandatory requirements:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Highly desirable requirements:
• Experience in SAP, Excel, PowerBI and other data analysis and reporting tools will also be well regarded.
Requirements of the role:
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting support.
• Demonstrated experience in using financial systems including SAP and Excel for payments, reporting, analysis and process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team with ability to communicate with various level stakeholders.
