In this role you will perform a primary function in the delivery of HR services for QCS. It will also play a significant role in managing HR processes and advice and will require the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and management in the performance of this role. It will also play a significant role in the development of HR procedures and processes to manage HR service delivery for QCS.

The primary accountabilities of the Adviser include:

  • Manage HR processes to ensure QCS adhere to public service industrial legislation and associated directives
  • Actively contribute to significant human resource initiatives that support the development of department wide HR practices and initiatives
  • Provide significant support to the Principal Consultants and Senior Advisers, HR Group, to ensure ongoing service delivery to operational units
  • Provide HR consultancy service to line management and staff of business units, in response to the day-to-day needs for a broad range of HR services and advice
  • Provide significant contribution to the development of HR plans aimed at delivering a broad range of services across QCS, ensuring alignment with relevant HR strategic objectives for QCS
  • Build HR capability across the Agency through implementing and coordinating key HR initiatives and supporting management to deliver outcomes associated with these initiatives
  • Undertake HR analytics and provide advice on emerging trends that assist with business decisions
  • Undertake reviews and ongoing monitoring of HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with current legislative requirements

The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as required outside of these primary accountabilities.
