The Pathways Officer supports people and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness to access housing and the services they need. Working with local partners and support providers, this role helps create practical pathways to stable housing and better outcomes for the community.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Logan or the Gold Coast.

Looking for a role where the work is practical, meaningful and community-focused?

The Pathways Officer helps individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness access the housing and support they need. This role is part of a coordinated, place-based response that delivers immediate assistance, develops practical housing solutions and strengthens connections across the local service system.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality housing and homelessness services that respond to both immediate and longer-term needs. You will work closely with local councils, community housing organisations, government agencies, temporary accommodation providers, support agencies and other community partners to improve service coordination and create better outcomes for people in the community.

What you will do
- Assess and respond to customer needs, providing responsive services that support immediate and longer-term housing needs.
- Help customers understand available assistance options and connect them with appropriate services.
- Work in partnership with place-based stakeholders to support people experiencing homelessness to access suitable housing solutions and support services.
- Build and maintain strong networks with government and non-government human service providers, temporary accommodation providers, support agencies and local government.
- Contribute to local initiatives that strengthen inter-agency linkages and improve service delivery.
- Provide advice to regional management and key government stakeholders on issues affecting housing and homelessness service outcomes.

You will be someone who can:
- Understand customer and stakeholder perspectives and maintain a strong customer focus.
- Work collaboratively, build effective networks and contribute to quality service delivery.
- Manage competing priorities and adapt to changing customer needs and expectations.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrate professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour.
- Apply strong analytical skills and experience in advising on housing solutions.

Please note that you must hold a Class C driver's licence for this role, and some travel, including overnight trips, will be required.
