The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Power Platform developer with strong experience delivering enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and related Microsoft technologies.

They will provide senior technical expertise, lead complex development activities, mentor other developers, and drive the adoption of modern engineering practices across solution delivery.

Working closely with solution architects, project teams, business stakeholders, and the broader Power Platform Team, they will play a key role in delivering innovative, scalable, and secure digital solutions that support TMR's strategic objectives.

The Power Platform Team within Applications Management delivers, supports, governs, and continuously improves Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and Copilot Studio services across the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). About the Role

As the Senior Developer (Power Platform), you will provide senior technical expertise in the design, development, implementation and support of enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Copilot Studio and related technologies.

Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, solution architects and technical specialists, you will lead the delivery of secure, scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, deployment and support of solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Pages, Copilot Studio and related technologies.

Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, support and continuous improvement.

Apply modern development practices, including source control, DevOps, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), deployment pipelines and quality assurance processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Develop reusable components, integrations and technical assets to improve delivery efficiency and platform maturity.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert support across development, test and production environments.

Mentor developers and citizen developers, fostering knowledge sharing, innovation and engineering excellence.

Skills and Experience - To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise solutions using Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Pages.

Experience with Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies.

Experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, including source control and modern development practices.

Experience implementing ALM processes and deployment pipelines.

Experience with Dataverse, Dataflows, External Tables, integrations and enterprise data management solutions.

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development principles.
