Current Opportunities:
- English/Literature - Year 7-12
- Japanese - Year 7-12
Teachers will be responsible for implementing the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 and relevant Queensland Senior Curriculum/QCAA syllabuses, while supporting student learning progression within a framework of equity and excellence.
As a teacher at Mount Gravatt State High School, you will contribute to the school's explicit improvement agenda, including:
- Thinking strategically and innovatively about curriculum, pedagogy and professional growth to support continuous improvement.
- Delivering engaging and purposeful teaching and learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland Senior Curriculum.
- Supporting the learning progression and achievement of all students within a framework of equity and excellence.
- Ensuring a consistent approach to pedagogy to reduce variance in student outcomes.
- Strengthening high performance and achievement in senior outcomes.
- Developing teaching strategies that respond to the literacy, numeracy and cognitive demands of the curriculum.

- Implementing the Mount Gravatt High Curriculum Planning Process.
- Actively participating in faculty-based professional learning teams.
