About the Command
The Performance and Improvement Command is the division’s hub for performance, assurance, and service improvement. It is responsible for continuous improvement initiatives covering the identification, prioritisation, sequencing, and delivery of improvement activities. The Performance and Improvement Command supports divisional planning, implementation, and reporting, and serves as the central point for policy liaison and performance reporting.
It leads correctional centre financial performance reporting to the Deputy Commissioner and oversees responses and recommendation management arising from internal and external oversight reports, including matters related to Inspector of Detention Services requests and responses.

About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for delivery of business improvement/organisational change programs/projects within the Custodial Delivery Group.
The primary accountabilities of the Manager, Custodial Delivery Group include:
- Plan, supervise, and manage projects related to the successful implementation of the custodial reform agenda and divisional plan.
- Provide direction to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Develop relationships promoting productive communication and a positive work environment.
- Implement relevant project controls to measure and monitor the conduct and progress of projects, including identification of key deliverables.
- Develop, promote and implement project management governance frameworks.
- Create, maintain and mentor colleagues in the development of business intelligence reporting to assist senior management in strategic decision making.
- Manage risks and issues that may impact on the successful implementation of key outputs related to Custodial Operations reform.
- Plan, lead and implement organisational change activities that align to custodial operations reform agenda.
- Develop, and provide expert strategic and tactical advice on the development and implementation of methodologies and frameworks to support business change.
- Build and improve relationships with internal (cross-Government) and external stakeholders, including inter-jurisdictional partners and private sector service providers.
- Promote a positive image ensuring effective partnerships are developed with client groups.
- Proactively promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge.
- Provide high level advice and recommendations to senior management.
- Supervise, motivate, encourage and coach staff in the performance of their duties.
