The Opportunity:
As the Senior Policy Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic policy initiatives and legacy outcomes for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Working within a high-performing team, you will provide high-quality policy advice, engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, and contribute to projects that will leave a lasting impact on Queensland's future.
Some of the responsibilities include:
• Responding to requests for information and advice across government, including preparing timely, well-researched correspondence, submissions, briefs and responses on complex policy issues related to the Games.
• Supporting the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of strategic policy initiatives, projects and legislation.
• Undertaking research and analysis on a range of Games-related issues to support key government priorities and inform decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a highly organised and adaptable professional with strong analytical, problem solving and written communication skills. You will be capable of interpreting complex information, developing evidence-based advice, and producing high-quality written materials for senior stakeholders.
You will also be able to manage competing priorities, deliver outcomes within tight timeframes, and build effective relationships to achieve positive outcomes in a collaborative environment.
