Are you an experienced human resources professional who can provide clear, practical and evidence-based advice on complex workplace matters?

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is seeking an accomplished Manager (HR Case Management) to support the leadership and delivery of its employee relations function.

As a senior member of the Employee Relations team, you will lead the provision of strategic and operational advice on complex people and performance matters. You will guide the specialist case management team, support senior leaders to manage risk, and develop responsive human resources solutions that operate effectively within legislative, industrial and policy frameworks.

The Manager (HR Case Management) role requires a confident and credible leader who can:
• lead and develop a team of case management professionals
• advise senior leaders on complex people, performance, conflict and dispute matters
• develop evidence-based risk management strategies
• represent the department's interests in complex case management matters, including Queensland Industrial Relations Commission conferences
• build trusted relationships with stakeholders through a coaching and business partnering approach
• support responsive and contemporary employee relations practices
• ensure advice and decisions align with relevant legislative, industrial, regulatory and policy frameworks.

To thrive in this role, you will bring substantial experience delivering human resources advice within a business partnering model, specialist expertise in complex performance matters, and the ability to lead a team towards broader organisational priorities.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, human resources or a related field, together with membership or certification through the Australian Human Resources Institute, will be well regarded.

Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
