Play a critical leadership role in driving QBCC’s transformation agenda. This position leads the strategic delivery of a portfolio of complex projects that improve organisational performance, customer experience, regulatory effectiveness, and consumer outcomes. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to QBCC’s strategic objectives, while overseeing project governance, benefits management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Leading a team of project professionals, the Director Project Delivery partners with executive leaders, government agencies, and external delivery partners to enable successful outcomes and sustainable organisational change. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced transformation leader to influence enterprise-wide initiatives and drive delivery excellence.

About the role 

As the Director Project Delivery, you will lead the strategic delivery of QBCC's Transformation project portfolio, ensuring projects are successfully implemented and transitioned into business-as-usual operations. You will be responsible for delivering complex initiatives that drive organisational performance, improve customer and regulatory outcomes, and support the achievement of QBCC's strategic objectives.  

Reporting to the Head of Transformation and Change, you will provide leadership across project governance, benefits management, risk management, resource planning and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with executive leaders, government agencies and external partners, you will influence decision-making, foster organisational alignment and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.  

 About you  

You are an accomplished project delivery leader with extensive experience leading complex portfolios, programs and projects in complex organisations. You bring a strong track record of delivering strategic outcomes through effective governance, benefits management, risk management and stakeholder engagement.  A confident and influential leader, you excel at building trusted relationships with executives, government agencies and delivery partners, enabling informed decision-making and organisational alignment. You have exceptional communication skills, the ability to navigate competing priorities, and a talent for leading teams through change and transformation. 

Ideally, you will have experience working within Queensland Government investment and governance frameworks, along with expertise in digital, business or regulatory transformation initiatives. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering outcomes that create lasting value for customers, stakeholders and the community.
