Tingalpa State School is a co-educational primary school offering a French Bilingual Program accredited with AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) from Prep to Year 6. The focus of the French Australian Bilingual Program is to provide excellent teaching and learning environments which allow children to achieve academic success and develop positive social and emotional skills. Students use the languages of English and French while also developing cultural understanding of Francophone communities.

We are seeking multiple passionate, experienced and innovative teachers to join the French Australian Bilingual Program in 2027. The successful applicants must be a native French speaker or possess C1 French proficiency. Applicants will be required to demonstrate effective classroom management, deliver engaging curriculum to P-6 students and work collaboratively with the year level team and the French Bilingual team. These positions may be either fulltime or part-time with negotiable fraction for the successful candidates.

What You'll Need

  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Full or provisional QCT registration
  • Australian working rights or valid visa
  • Pre-service and graduate teachers are encouraged to apply (include practicum reports, mentor statements & unofficial transcript)
  • Be fluent in both French and English languages
  • Be a native French speaker or hold a C1 French language proficiency level
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise outcomes for students 
  • Experience teaching within a French primary school setting is highly desirable
  • CRPE qualifications and experience with the Australian and/or French Curriculum viewed favourably
