The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking an experienced Financial Assessment Officer who will undertake financial assessments of the QBCC licensees and provide advice and guidance on Minimum Financial Requirements (MFR) legislation and policy. Working within a supportive team environment, you will play an important role in ensuring financial compliance and supporting fair and informed licensing decisions. This temporary opportunity is available from 21 September 2026 until 25 January 2027 and offers flexible work arrangements.

About the role

As a Financial Assessment Officer, you will:

• Conduct financial assessments to determine compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Review financial information and documentation to support licensing and compliance decisions.
• Provide accurate advice and guidance to licensees and stakeholders regarding Minimum Financial Requirements (MFR).
• Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures in the assessment process.
• Analyse financial data and identify potential risks or areas requiring further investigation.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of assessment processes.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver timely and customer-focused outcomes.
