Do you enjoy leading large teams, improving services and finding better ways to deliver results? Are you someone who can balance strategy and operations while keeping people at the centre of decision-making? If so, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

As Director, Frontline Processing, you will lead a customer-focused team that plays a critical role in delivering housing services across Queensland. The work you do will help ensure people can access the support and services they need while contributing to Queensland's vision for a fair and sustainable housing system.

This role combines operational leadership with strategic thinking. You will be responsible for leading a frontline processing function, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, effectively and with a strong focus on customer outcomes. At the same time, you will identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working to deliver better results for both customers and staff.

In this role, you will:
• Lead and support a high-performing frontline processing team delivering housing services across Queensland.
• Drive service excellence by monitoring performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing practical solutions.
• Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes and support service improvements.
• Use data, evidence and analysis to inform decisions and improve operational performance.
• Foster a positive, safe and inclusive workplace culture where people are empowered to learn, contribute and succeed.
• Lead change initiatives that strengthen service delivery and improve the customer experience.
• Balance competing priorities and make sound decisions in complex and changing environments.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how housing services are delivered at scale while leading a team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Queenslanders every day.

You will be successful if you can bring people together, inspire teams to achieve results, navigate complexity with confidence and remain focused on delivering practical outcomes. You will be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, open to new ideas and committed to continuous improvement.

At the Department of Housing and Public Works, diverse perspectives and experiences are valued. You will join a workplace where people are respected, supported and encouraged to contribute their best. Applications from people of all backgrounds and life experiences are encouraged.

If you are looking for an executive leadership opportunity where you can shape service delivery, drive innovation and continuous improvement, and contribute to better housing outcomes for Queensland communities, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
