The role of the Executive Assistant is to provide high quality, efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Executive Director. To coordinate and disseminate relevant information and liaise with internal and external agencies and staff on behalf of the Senior Executive Director.

  • Assist with the coordination and quality assurance of Ministerial and Executive correspondence for the directorate.
  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the tracking and administrative workflow systems, including registration, allocation and reporting systems for Ministerial and Executive correspondence.
  • Provide information and advice to departmental officers regarding format, style and other technical aspects of Ministerial and Executive correspondence to ensure the effective preparation and coordination.
  • Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with senior officers, such as staff of the Ministers' office, the Office of the Director-General, Associate Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General, team members, internal and external clients and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Senior Executive Director's electronic diary, including the organisation of conferences, seminars, accommodation and travel arrangements.
  • Assist the Senior Executive Director and Executive Officer with project work and minute taking as required
  • Participate as part of a cohesive, high performing team in which all members' contributions are valued and encouraged.
