Your new opportunity
The Executive Director, Energy Consumers and Partnerships role offers the chance to shape Queensland's consumer energy policy and strengthen strategic partnerships that support an affordable, reliable and substantiable energy system.
Working closely with Ministers, senior executives and industry leaders, you will provide strategic advice on complex consumer and distribution policy issues, energy market reforms, consumer protections and concessions, and the integration of consumer energy resources (CER). You will represent Queensland Treasury in high-profile forums, lead the delivery of key government commitments and strategic priorities, and ensure the successful delivery of programs and reforms that support Queensland's economic and energy objectives.
In this role, you will:
Shape Government Priorities: Lead the development of consumer energy policy, regulatory reform and strategic initiatives that support affordable, reliable and sustainable energy outcomes for Queensland.
Drive Economic and Portfolio Outcomes: Provide expert advice to Government and senior executives, delivering programs and reforms that strengthen consumer outcomes, energy productivity and Queensland's energy system.
Influence and Partner: Build trusted relationships across government, industry and the community, leveraging influence and negotiation to achieve strategic outcomes in complex environments.
Lead People and Performance: Inspire high-performing teams, foster an inclusive and accountable culture, and provide strategic leadership that drives organisational excellence.
What experience you will bring:
Strategic policy, commercial and sector expertise: extensive experience leading complex policy, regulatory or reform initiatives within the energy sector or a related environment.
Executive leadership and organisational impact: a strong record of success leading within large and complex organisations and building capable, highperforming teams. Proven ability to develop organisational capability, mobilise talent and deliver exceptional results in dynamic environments.
Stakeholder engagement and influence: significant experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sectors, with the political acumen to manage highly complex stakeholder relationships.
Future-focused leadership: a proven track record as an agent of change who can lead reform and deliver outcomes in complex operating environments.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
