- Provide executive pre-briefing to the General Manager for all committee meetings, ensuring consultation with responsible subject matter experts, and action items are completed.
- Keep abreast of current issues and trends which may impact on the service area and report findings to the executive, as well as actively reviewing and managing work priorities and deadlines and responding to emails on behalf of the executive on a daily basis.
- Quality checking correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and reports and provide advice to business areas where changes/clarification is required.
- Coordinate and manage administration support activities across the service area, whilst looking for and implementing areas of continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with service areas across the department, other State Government agencies and external stakeholders to enable consultation, liaison, and negotiation of priorities.
- Review, action or authorise financial and budget matters within the portfolio, including investigation of reduction or overspending, as required.
- Participate in the delivery and coordination of the unit's business functions and actively review and manage work priorities.
