About the team
The Chief Procurement Office forms part of the Enabling Solutions Group and leads TMR's centre-led procurement function. We partner with business areas across the department to deliver strategic sourcing and contract management outcomes, strengthen procurement governance, manage risk and achieve value for money.

The Sourcing and Contract Management team supports the delivery of procurement and contract management outcomes across TMR. The team provides strategic and authoritative advice, leads procurement and contract management activities and works collaboratively with stakeholders to support informed decision-making and sound procurement governance.

About the role
As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you will lead and undertake end-to-end procurement activities, including procurement planning, sourcing strategy
development, market engagement, tender management, evaluation, negotiation, contract establishment and contract handover.

You will partner with business areas to understand their requirements and deliver customer-focused procurement solutions that balance business needs, value for money, risk and governance. You will also manage assigned contracts and supplier arrangements, including performance monitoring, variations, extensions, supplier performance and dispute resolution.

This 12-month temporary opportunity will allow you to contribute to procurement outcomes with broad departmental impact while working collaboratively with clients, suppliers, industry representatives and other government agencies.

• strong experience delivering activities across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle
• the ability to provide professional, authoritative and strategic procurement advice
• well-developed business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills
• experience managing contracts and supplier relationships
• sound judgement and a strong focus on value for money, risk and governance
• the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within required timeframes.
