About the Role

As Manager Governance and Planning, you will lead an integrated function encompassing governance, strategic and operational planning, performance reporting, including delivery of QLeave's Annual Reports, policy management, complaints management, and records management to support QLeave in meeting its statutory, regulatory and organisational obligations.

Your immediate priority will be to strengthen QLeave's enterprise governance, planning and performance frameworks, drive the organisation's annual planning and reporting cycles, and embed robust, consistent approaches to policy development, complaints management and records management practices.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead QLeave's governance, strategic and operational planning, and performance reporting functions.
  • Strengthen and embed enterprise governance, planning and performance frameworks.
  • Drive annual planning, monitoring and reporting cycles across the organisation, including Annual Report delivery.
  • Oversee consistent approaches to policy, complaints, records management and governance.
  • Support QLeave to meet its statutory, regulatory and organisational obligations.

What We're Looking For

QLeave appointments are based on selecting the eligible applicant best suited to the position. We will assess your application based on your experience, potential for development, and your personal qualities.

For this role, we will consider how well you:

  • Lead strategic and operational planning, performance reporting or corporate governance in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of public sector governance, accountability, policy, complaints and records management.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Apply high-level communication and influencing skills, including providing clear advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Exercise sound judgement, discretion and professionalism, with a collaborative approach to sensitive and time-critical matters.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. However, practical experience in corporate governance, planning, performance reporting, policy, records management or complaints management will be highly regarded. Relevant qualifications in business, governance, public sector management, policy or a related discipline will also be favourably regarded.
