We are seeking four Directors to join the TRAILS Modernisation team and help drive the transformation of Queensland's transport and licensing services. Our multidisciplinary team brings together business, operational, digital and technology expertise to modernise critical services across customer, vehicle, licensing, payments and regulatory domains. This is an opportunity to shape the modern, future-ready registration and licensing services and underpinning business capabilities that sets a new benchmark for public service delivery and tangible benefits for Queenslanders every day. As a Director of Product Delivery, you will lead the modernisation of a critical registration and licensing domain through the life of the project, helping shape how registration and licensing services are delivered into the future. As the authoritative voice of the business, you will also provide strategic leadership across your domain, ensuring modernisation initiatives deliver sustainable business value, align with operational priorities and contribute to a more effective, efficient and sustainable operating model. Following project's completion, this Director role will retain stewardship of the business domain, ensuring modernisation outcomes continue to deliver lasting benefits for the department and Queenslanders.

- Payments Management
- Transport Customer Management

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking long-term ownership and accountability for the modernisation and improvement of business products and services that reside within your domain.
  • Leading a high performing delivery team that works to achieve committed outcomes within defined tolerance levels.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve integrated outcomes across a complex work programme.
  • Translating and prioritising business value and customer pain points into new developments or initiatives.
  • Reviews and accepts work items as completed, and releases products that meet customer needs.
  • Leads front line and policy-related engagement with TMR and wider government to advocate changes and simplifications for relevant products or services.

To be considered suitable for the role you will have:

  • Proven ability to strategically deliver employee centric designed product services in alignment with business priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and negotiation abilities, adaptability to change, and a strong people leader.
  • Demonstrates a significant track record in taking a proactive approach to learning and development, readily questions established practices, explores opportunities for business improvement, and is adept at guiding teams through challenging situations.
  • Uses strong stakeholder engagement practices and strategies to provide high level advice to management and ensure effective departmental outcomes.
