About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how Legal Aid Queensland turns strategy into action, while contributing to an organisation that makes a genuine difference for vulnerable and disadvantaged Queenslanders.
As Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO), you will lead the next evolution of LAQ's enterprise portfolio capability, strengthening how the organisation prioritises investment, governs change and realises benefits, while building leadership capability to successfully deliver strategic and transformation priorities.
In this role you will:
- Lead the ePMO team in the delivery of its core functions: Strategic Alignment, Project-Program-Portfolio Governance, Benefit Realisation, Dependency Oversight, Reporting, Project Management (PM) Centre of Excellence (COE) and Change Management (CM) COE.
- Drive project and program delivery collaboration across the Senior Leaders Group regarding strategic objectives, prioritisation, to optimise benefit realisation and address roadblocks or issues.
- Coach LAQ executives and Senior Leaders through ePMO processes and reporting.
- Assess the quality of project, program, and portfolio artifacts, and make stage gate recommendations.
- Embed, maintain and improve the ePMO function within LAQ to elevate the strategic alignment of project activities.
- Provide up-to-date, timely and pro-active reporting to the Executive Leadership Team to facilitate decision making.
- Monitor the level of project and program management maturity and quality across LAQ and identify opportunities to elevate this.
- Establish a culture of continuous development and improvement for project delivery and change management.
- Provide direction, guidance and leadership to staff, manage their work performance and provide appropriate feedback, to ensure that outcomes are met.
