Emergency Services Officer

Arts Queensland (AQ), now part of the Department of Education, is looking for a permanent part-time OO5 Emergency Services Officer (ESO) to work within our Operations and Services team at the Queensland Cultural Centre, South Brisbane.

As an ESO you will ensure that the implementation of procedures and policies relating to health and safety of all staff, hirers of facilities, patrons, performers, and other visitors to the QCC and other AQ owned properties are followed and always applied, and provides first person response to fires, first aid, and safety and/or environmental emergency incidents within the QCC site.

Please note this is a part-time position with maximum rostered hours of 22.8 hours/fortnight. Additional rostered hours/fortnight may be offered as operationally required.

Arts Queensland is looking for a permanent part-time Emergency Services Officer (OO5) to work with us at the Queensland Cultural Centre, South Brisbane.

Additional Information:

  • Permanent part-time position with professional development opportunities. Please note maximum rostered hours of 22.8hours/fortnight. Additional rostered hours/fortnight may be offered as operationally required.
  • Salary: $24,499 - $26,854 p.a. (pro-rata of a 1.0FTE) + 12.75% super & allowances
  • Generous leave entitlements
  • Please note a probationary period (up to 6 months) may apply to new employees of Arts Queensland in accordance with section 315 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016
  • Please note as part of pre-employment checks, suitable candidates may be required to undertake:
    • A criminal history check under section 52 of the Public Sector Act (PSA) 2022
    • Complete a serious discipline history check (if required) under section 71 of the PSA
    • Disclose any interest/s that conflict, may conflict or may be perceived to conflict with the discharge of their duties in accordance with Division 2 of the PSA.
