Communication Manager

Arts Queensland (AQ), now part of Department of Education, is looking for a permanent full-time AO8 Communication Manager to work within our Communications team.
As Communication Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of a strategic communication and engagement approach to inform awareness and engagement in Arts Queensland projects, programs and initiatives that underpin the delivery of Queensland Government’s Queensland’s Time to Shine a new 10-year strategy for a thriving creative sector and a vibrant statewide arts scene.
You will also use your exceptional leadership skills to provide strategic communications advice — specialising in corporate communication, media and digital communications and partnerships development to leverage Queensland Government investment in the arts.
This position will provide leadership and guidance to a team of 6 direct reports.

Additional Information:
- Salary: $147,770 - $156,144 p.a.

- Please note a probationary period (up to 6 months) may apply to new employees of Arts Queensland in accordance with section 315 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016
- Please note as part of pre-employment checks, suitable candidates may be required to undertake:

- Complete a serious discipline history check (if required) under section 71 of the PSA
