About us:

Theodore MPHS provides an emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based health care together with residential aged care and a range of other support health services. Theodore MPHS also works closely with Theodore Council of the Aging under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement for residential aged care.

About the role:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the efficient and effective use of human and material resources in Theodore MPHS, based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. They will also partner with other members of the leadership team to operationalise clinical and corporate governance. They also employ professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and midwifery executive and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

About you:

Mandatory qualifications: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate.

  • This appointment has been identified as ‘key personnel' for the purposes of the Aged Care Act 1997.

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant nursing postgraduate qualification at an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 9 (Master's Degree) would be highly desirable for this role.

Total remuneration value of up to $15,534 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $78.59 - $82.40 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
