About us:

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, is part of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse (CN) will provide comprehensive clinical assessment and liaise with relevant health care providers to develop a plan of care and provide expert clinical support to the patients of Theodore Hospital and nursing staff to implement the care plans which includes:

  • Promoting strategies that will allow patients to be cared for in the most appropriate environment.
  • Implementation and evaluation for care of clients with less predictable outcomes without supervision utilising advanced clinical and problem-solving skills.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.

  • While not mandatory, registration as a Midwife will be highly desirable.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $27,768 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
