About us:

Theodore Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) provides an emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based health care together with residential aged care and a range of other support health services. Theodore MPHS also works closely with Theodore Council of the Aging under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement for residential aged care.

About the role:

The Director of Nursing has responsibility for the overall planning, coordination, formulation, and direction of policies relating to the provision of clinical care for Theodore MPHS. Additionally, the Director of Nursing is responsible for the efficient and effective use of human and material resources in Theodore MPHS, based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.

About you:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • This appointment has been identified as ‘key personnel' for the purposes of the Aged Care Act 1997.
  • In accordance with Section 23.3A of the Sanctions Principles 1997 Act, Queensland Health is required to take all reasonable steps to ensure none of its key personnel is a disqualified individual.
  • In accordance with Section 22.3B of the principles, your appointment is subject to the favourable outcome of the relevant checks including a criminal conviction search from the Australian Federal Police and a bankruptcy record search.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $15,534 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $78.59 - $82.40 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
