About the role:

  • Ensure that work practices relating to services are consistent with standards of hygiene, infection control, workplace health and safety and total quality management.
  • Daily washing, drying, and ironing of linen and resident clothing as required.
  • Assist in kitchen as required by cook, with cleaning, wash, food preparation and service.
  • Distribution of meal trays to clients, maintaining relevant standards for hygiene and infection control are followed.
  • Assist with additional duties as directed by the Cook (OO3).
  • Participate in quality activities as delegated by Director of Nursing (Facility Manager).

About you:

  • Practical knowledge (or the ability to gain knowledge), experience or qualifications appropriate to the position e.g., patient care and cleaning duties - preferably within a hospital environment.
  • Well-developed negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work commitments and to meet work deadlines within a busy environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of the team with an ability to facilitate, promote and adapt to change.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $76,206 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $31.24 - $33.68 (Permanent)
  • An hourly rate between $39.05 - $41.66 (Casual - Including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
