Biloela Hospital provides a range of hospital and visiting specialist services to the Biloela and Banana region. Our vision, outlined in our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders Strategy is for Biloela Hospital to be the Banana hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic and a range of surgical services. We will invest in Telehealth technology to provide local access to services wherever possible.

Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed hospital that caters for inpatients and outpatients including Emergency and Outpatient services, Obstetrics and Midwifery, General Medical and Surgical services. Support services to the hospital include: Community Services; Radiology; Pharmacy; Immunisation; Child Health; Drug and Alcohol Mental Health services; Occupational Therapy; Social Work; Pathology; Physiotherapy and Oral Health.

About the role:

A Clinical Midwifery Consultant (CMC) has a diverse set of responsibilities and has a common purpose of providing highly effective Health System Leadership. The position will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the Biloela Maternity Unit and will provide guidance while supporting the delivery of best practice quality care. About you:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practicing certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Post Graduate qualifications relevant to the role would be highly regarded.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $13,684 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
