The Registered Nurse (Reliever) works within scope of practice to assume responsibility for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care. The position works collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and reliable care is provided. Experience in emergency and acute care would be highly regarded for this role, as you will be working to your full scope of practice.

About us:

The facility is a relatively new purpose-built facility which opened for business in September 2012. The facility provides 24-hours a day, seven days a week acute medical inpatient services, residential aged care, outpatient services and an emergency department service. The facility is highly functional, contemporary, and spacious. Most inpatient rooms have their own ensuite and each room has its own unique rural view. The emergency department and X-ray area are very functional and enables excellent patient flow.

About the role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care based on the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMC) National Competency Standards to a group of patient/clients in collaboration with health service providers. The Registered Nurse works within scope of practice to assume responsibility for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care. The position works collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and reliable care is provided within the dynamic health environments of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) facilities.

About you:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.

While not mandatory, Emergency Nursing experience and Triage qualifications would be highly desirable.

  • Post graduate experience in Emergency and recent experience in an acute setting would be highly regarded.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
