About Us
The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ) is an independent statutory authority regulating the engineering profession under the Professional Engineers Act 2002. We register engineers, oversee conduct and compliance investigations, maintain the state's professional engineers register, and advise the Minister on standards and regulatory matters.
The Communications and Engagement Unit at BPEQ facilitates strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach to support the Board's objectives and uphold professional engineering standards in Queensland.
About the Role
Reporting to a strategic and supportive Communications and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for turning strategic communication priorities into practical, engaging content and campaigns that reach the right audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging content across digital, print and stakeholder communication channels
- Translate complex policy, legislative and technical information into clear, accessible and audience-focused communications.
- Plan and support communication campaigns, stakeholder engagement activities and events.
- Manage digital and social media channels
- Drive internal communications, including newsletters, intranet content, executive updates and change communications
- Monitor, analyse and report on communication performance
What you'll bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor content to diverse audiences.
- 5+ years' experience in a communicatiions role.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of brand, style and editorial standards, with attention to detail.
- Experience with digital communications and analytics tools, including Vision6, Hootsuite, Google Analytics and Eventbrite.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
