Permanent Full time opportunity to effectively manage and supervise all security operations on shift, ensuring that high quality, timely and appropriate levels of security services, fire protection and safety services are provided to Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) facilities as required to ensure the protection of persons, the protection of property, the prevention of crime, the preservation of the peace and the protection of information.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Ensure that comprehensive security services and assistance is provided at all times to staff, patients, visitors and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets of the MNHHS.
• Provide sound operational security service advice and guidance to subordinate Security Officers ensuring that security best practice is always adopted.
• Ensure that Security Services provides a first response to all emergency situations including helipad operations.
• Ensure that Security Services provides close personal protection to staff confronting aggressive and volatile situations in the provision of front line health services.
• Prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure that requests for security and/or emergency assistance are responded to and provided in accordance with Queensland Health, Health Service, Facility and Unit guidelines, policies, procedures and protocols.
