About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to contribute to patient care by providing clinical and non-clinical assistance and support to Speech Pathologist, as delegated and supervised to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of patient care at Caboolture Hospital. Provide individual and group interventions as delegated by supervising Speech Pathologists.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist in the manufacture, supply, maintenance and monitoring of equipment prescribed for patients, and provide patient education as relevant about safe usage of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the treating Allied Health Professionals regarding patient status and outcomes of interventions provided, and any other information relevant for patient care.
- Actively participate in relevant in-service programs and continuing education activities to develop knowledge and skills which will aid the enhancement of service delivery.
- Develop quality management skills in relation to the delivery of Allied Health services by initiating, implementing and evaluating workplace instructions and quality activities, relevant to the position and supporting organisational change.
