About your role:

  • Apply high level professional and clinical reasoning and skills to provide safe and efficient rural generalist Occupational Therapy inpatient, outpatient, and residential aged care services in the Babinda Multipurpose Health Service across a broad range of clinical areas with minimal direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively by maintaining open communication with other relevant stakeholders, within the multi-disciplinary care team, the Occupational Therapy services team and with patients, their families/carers and other health professionals, supervisors and students as required.
  • Manage and prioritise relevant waitlists, while also employing innovative strategies to meet demand in coordinating the delivery of an effective Occupational Therapy service.
  • Provide clinical direction and supervision, advice and delegation to allied health assistants and support staff as required.
