Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services provide planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all district physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services currently consist of professional, operational, administrative and trade staff. The Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing and carpentry. These responsibilities are exercised through the management of in-house labour and the management and supervision of day labour and/or contractors where necessary to supplement in-house labour.

About your role:
- Carry out minor new works as directed by the Line Manager. This may include but not be restricted to running services for new building works and the installation of new equipment supporting fixed services.
- Carry out water testing as per the CHHHS Water Risk Management Plan, this will include weekly and quarterly testing at Atherton, Mareeba and Herberton facilities.
- Carry out repairs within competencies held which may include soldering, cutting and fabrication to support hydraulic duties.
