About you role:
- Provide a high level of communication skills in a friendly and helpful manner with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively, have a flexible attitude, communicate clearly and confidently with members of the public, patients/clients and departmental staff both in person and over the telephone whilst adhering to Queensland Health guidelines.
- Manage and maintain processing of referrals, data input, sourcing and retrieving patient information in line with clinician specifications in line with the CHHHS Administration Procedure Manual.
- Efficiently manage the completion of patient medical documentation, correctly batched and labelled and made for transference to the Medical Record Central Scanning Unit within the nominated time frames.
- Adopt a problem-solving approach to work based issues as they arise and participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, process and work practise to optimise the teams function.
- Work autonomously, to achieve targets with limited supervision and contribute to team goals utilising discretion. In the absence of decision makers take part in resolution of conflict, meet deadlines and establish work priorities.
