About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About your role:
- Provide independent specialist level knowledge and clinical skills in complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards with accountability for providing advanced level of clinical services relating to the areas of obstetric, gynaecological, general, paediatric, musculoskeletal and vascular ultrasound.
- Act as a reference point for other clinicians at a service level to ensure Ultrasound patient care issues are managed, including liaison with other clinicians, clinical departments and external providers and patient related incidents are reported and documented according to hospital procedures.
- Apply professional judgement to the review and prioritisation of Ultrasound referrals in accordance to clinical need to facilitate appropriate and timely delivery of service.
