About your opportunity:
Provide psychology services, including assessment, consultancy and intervention, to children and young people (and their parents and carers) who are patients of the Paediatric Service at the Cairns Hospital. Clinical services are in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Australian Psychological Society's Code of Ethics and Queensland Health's Code of Conduct.
About your role:
- Provide clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team, professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding the practice of psychology by participating in relevant forums/networks and being available for consultation as required.
- Accurately and consistently collect and report on clinical, professional and service level data in accordance with organisational directives.
- Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and an ability to work independently, while also working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols for psychology and the multidisciplinary team that support the continuum of care for children, young people and their carer networks.
