About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About your role: 

  • Responsibilities of the Trade Co-ordinator are exercised through the management of in-house labour and the management and supervision of day labour and /or contractors where necessary to supplement in-house labour.
  • Organise day to day operations, work assignments and resource allocation for Q.H. trades and contractors.
  • Undertake building construction and maintenance work and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to comply with all applicable standards including Workplace Health & safety, Australian Standards, electricity act, regulations and code of practice.
  • Co-ordinate the acquisition of necessary certificates of inspection in relation to building construction and maintenance work.
