About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your role:
- Deliver high level specialist Social Work clinical oncology and palliative services across multiple facilities including Innisfail, Tully and Babinda Hospitals across the continuum of care to outpatient and community clients as a member of various multi-disciplinary teams, guided by professional and ethical standards.
- Actively participate in professional education within the work unit and professional team and contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the Cassowary Hub and for the Social Work profession.
- Contribute to staff development within the Cassowary Hub through clinical practice supervision of staff and students, performance appraisal, professional development, recruitment and selection and mandatory training.
