About your opportunity:
This role is to provide support in the delivery of Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service master data and service master data activity. The role adds value to the supply chain by maintaining purchasing and logistics data and information requirements in relation to the activities of the Health Service, in addition to liaison with vendors and supply chain professionals.
About your role:
- Participate in communication, consultation and liaison strategies aimed at the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service purchasing and logistics staff, suppliers and supply chain management professionals in the public and private sectors.
- Review organisational catalogue material master data and make the necessary adjustments to ensure data integrity on SAP and optimise material item descriptions and associated data so that users can readily identify material items in compliance with departmental policy.
- Carry out any other duties as requested to support the Manager (Contracts and Procurement) in the efficient and effective delivery of agreed services.
- Engage in continuous learning and research into leading edge supply chain processes and technologies, and the legal and government framework in which they operate and produce reports and submissions based on findings.
