About your opportunity:
Engage in and facilitate the development of a learning culture and models evidence-based practice at an advanced level relevant to the maternity area. This role encompasses diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of work-area based clinical education, clinical learning support and clinical supervision of novice midwives.
About your role:
- Work collaboratively, with manager/s and educator, to plan, implement and evaluate clinical learning opportunities at a workplace level to support clinicians to provide evidence-based practice.
- Major portfolios for this position include orientation of new nurses and midwives, learning development of nurses and midwives within the service area, review, and management of mandatory and requisite education requirements.
- Facilitating new graduate midwives identified learning needs and planning graduate clinical rotations throughout all areas of the maternity unit and special care nursery.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills with experience providing feedback along with escalating matters of concern.
