You are invited to join a dynamic team with Procurement and Contract Team, Chief Finance Officer Services as Procurement Officer. In this role you will be employed to work with the Procurement and Contract team and provide both administrative support and conduct low-value low risk procurement activities. You have the opportunity to deliver a streamlined and efficient administrative function within the team through the growth of technology services available to the HHS. Additionally, you will be responsible to manage low value and low complex procurement activities through to contract implementation.

About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your role:
- Administration of the contracts lifecycle electronic system (QContracts), involving upkeep, data input, archiving and closing out records and ensuring adequate alerts are administered.
- Oversight and day to day handling of the generic team inbox and working with the team to allocate and assign incoming correspondence.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and memoranda relating to Procurement and Contracts Team (PCT)) matters as directed by, and in consultation with, the Procurement and Contract Manager and the Chief Finance Officer.
